Les Passeurs de curiosités, Field Visit
Milk for Good attended a workshop by Les Passeurs de Curiosités in a ULIS class at Collège Stanislas in Paris. The program aimed to introduce students to the richness of marine corals. In the presence of the founder, a speaker, and a volunteer, the children, split into 3 groups, explored this world through:
- the playful cabinet of curiosities, where a treasure hunt helped them better understand the marine environment,
- the “library-museum,” made up of real fossils and books on the subject, to explore alone or with the speaker,
- hands-on activities, allowing them to absorb the information shared throughout the morning through drawn and sculpted reproductions of real specimens.
As with every workshop, the variety and quality of the activities, along with the origin of the fossils on display (from the Muséum National d’Histoire Naturelle), were a great success with both the attentive children and the teaching staff. A lovely way to bring a bit of nature back into the classroom!
