Fondation Laurène Pasquier, Event

Milk for Good was invited this Thursday to an Art and Disability gathering organised by the Fondation Laurène Pasquier, dedicated to supporting people who are ill or disabled, particularly those without family or financial support. With art as a central pillar of its work, the event aimed to explore this theme by bringing together the organisations supported by the foundation along with its donors and partners.
Through an illuminating talk by neuropsychologist Sylvie Chokron on the cognitive processes at play during artistic practice and the contemplation of a work (visual or live), and through testimonials from several organisations, participants were able to discover initiatives making art — inall its forms — accessible to people who are ill or disabled. A very concrete demonstration of the impact that beauty and taking action can have on a person facing difficulties.
