TNB – Extra Ordinaire Project

Sharing, transmitting, encountering.

The Théâtre National de Bretagne (Rennes) is a National Drama Centre, European Centre for Theatrical and Choreographic Creation, with a broadened mission encompassing dance and music, a festival, a cinema and a Higher School of Dramatic Art. It has been directed by Arthur Nauzyciel since 2017.

In 2024, the TNB launched an unprecedented and innovative project, exclusively dedicated to inclusive creation. The EXTRA-ORDINAIRE programme, in partnership with the Centre National pour la Création Adaptée (CNCA, located in Morlaix), was designed to bring together partners and audiences in a new way over the long term, around creation led by and/or with artists with disabilities. This programme is associated with an artistic and cultural education project aimed at involving middle and high school students in creation workshops in order to change perspectives on disability.

Co-financed with other family foundations of the Cultural Circle of the Un Esprit de Famille Association, the Milk for Good endowment fund supported three artistic projects in their creation, dissemination and outreach to young people: the play Back to reality by Catherine Hargreaves and Adèle Gascuel, Compagnie les 7 sœurs, in 2024 / the choreography Starting with the Limbs by Annie Hanauer & Compagnie L’Autre Maison in 2025 / the show Qui c’est celui-là by Valérian Guillaume in 2026.
