(NOC!)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Art: a protective bubble in the daily lives of hospitalized children<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since 2005, NOC has been bringing beauty into the rooms of children and young people with serious, chronic and\/or psychiatric illnesses in the \u00cele-de-France region.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9lodie Th\u00e9bault, artist and founder of the charity, conceived NOC based on a firm conviction: to offer young people in hospital a space for creativity, self-expression and solace. At NOC, art is neither decorative nor merely a pastime. The activities offered to young people aged 7 to 25 within healthcare settings help shape their sense of identity at a time when everything associated with a typical childhood is put on hold (school, home, play, friends, family, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>The charity acts as a facilitator of dialogue between the sick child, their families and the healthcare teams with whom NOC works hand in hand. The child thus discovers a protective haven within their daily hospital life where they can express themselves freely, create, escape and learn.<\/p>\n<p>Since the first workshop was launched in 2005, the charity has supported more than 5,300 children and teenagers.
